System Installation and Setup EN | 442.16 Keypad Programming2.16.1 Installer Mode/Installer MenuA text keypad such as the DS7447E orDS7447V2 LCD Keypad can be used forkeypad programming. The DS7445i andDS7445V2 LED Keypads cannot be usedfor keypad programming.Use of the Installer PIN might be restricted.See Keypad Response Options on page74 for information on enabling/restrictingthe Installer PIN.There are three methods to access the control panel’sprogramming mode. Choose a method from below andfollow its subsequent steps:1. From a text keypad:a. Enter the Installer PIN. The default InstallerPIN is 9876. See Installer PIN on page 68 forinstructions on changing the default InstallerPIN.b. Press [#][4][1] to enter the Installer Menu.c. Press [8] to enter the programming mode.2. From an Installer Keypad:a. Set the Installer Keypad address to 0 (zero).b. Connect the Installer Keypad to the controlpanel. See Installer Keypad on page 39 forinstructions.c. Close the Installer Switch.d. Enter the Installer PIN.e. Press [#][4][1] to enter the Installer Menu.f. Press [8] to enter the programming mode.3. Without an Installer PIN:a. Remove all power from the control panel(Mains and standby battery).b. Close the Installer Switch.c. Connect the Installer Keypad to the controlpanel if you are using an Installer Keypad.d. Restore all power to the control panel.e. Locate the keypad displaying the InstallerMenu.f. Press [8] to enter the programming mode.2.16.2 Expert/Installer Programming Modes• Installer Programming Mode: InstallerProgramming Mode is the control panel’s defaultprogramming mode. This mode allows the installerto access only a subset of the availableprogramming parameters. Installer ProgrammingMode follows through the addresses shown in thisdocument.• Expert Programming Mode: When the controlpanel enters the Expert Programming Mode, all ofthe available programming parameters can beaccessed. The <strong>DS7200V2</strong> Expert Programming Guide(P/N: 4998153891) covers the expert set ofparameters and provides instructions on enteringExpert Programming Mode.2.16.3 Parameter AddressesData for each parameter is stored at one or moreaddresses. Special addresses identified as optionparameters allow you to set several options at a singleaddress.There are two parts to every address displayed acrossthe keypad’s top line:• Adr: XXXX: The number following “Adr”indicates the current address displayed.• D=X: “X” indicates the data digit selection for theaddress currently displayed.Adr: 0000 D=0To view a specific address, enter the 4-digit addressnumber and then press [#].For example, to go to Address 0221, press thefollowing keys in this order: [0][2][2][1][#].Leading zeroes can be omitted. Pressing [2][2][1][#] isthe same as pressing [0][2][2][1][#].Adr: 0000 D=00221To scroll forward one address at a time, press [#].
