the regulation of tenancy for commercial and residential properties; balancing<br />

the rights and responsibilities of landlords and tenants through rental contracts;<br />

defines period, inheritance, rents payable, obligations of landlord and tenants,<br />

etc.; registration of rental contracts with rent authorities outlays process of fast<br />

adjudication process for resolution of disputes through rent tribunals;<br />

repossession of the premises by the landlord through rent courts; compensation<br />

in case of non-vacancy; and not applicable for government/employee housing/<br />

charity and religious buildings.<br />

Use of Space Technology Based Tools<br />

To effectively implement and monitor the mission deliverables, Ministry of<br />

HUPA through National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC), Hyderabad, has<br />

developed geo-tagging application to track physical progress of houses<br />

constructed under the beneficiary-led component of PMAY-HFA(U) Mission,<br />

through geo-tagged photographs;<br />

Features of geo-tagging portal for PMAY-HFA(U) include: mobile<br />

application on hand held devices for taking geo-tagged photographs of existing<br />

houses with beneficiary and monitoring construction by taking periodic<br />

photographs. Photographs to be uploaded on Bhuvan Geo-Portal; integration<br />

with online MIS being developed for PMAY-HFA (Urban) Mission; it will help<br />

in correct identification of beneficiaries, monitoring of construction and timely<br />

releases of funds to beneficiary; and using this data, different MIS reports<br />

envisaged for use by Centre/state/ULBs.<br />

Management Information System<br />

An online web based Management Information System (MIS) has been designed<br />

and developed for monitoring the progress of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana -<br />

National Urban Livelihoods Mission. Training is being imparted to the states<br />

for the implementation of MIS. The MIS would include details of beneficiaries,<br />

biometric attendance, training and placement details and certificates would be<br />

awarded to successful candidates online. This MIS would help the relevant<br />

Mission Management Unit to monitor online the progress of the city, ULBs and<br />

States on a real-time basis. In order to streamline the implementation and<br />

monitoring of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Housing for All (Urban) Mission, a<br />

centralised web enabled Management Information System has been developed<br />

which serves as a bridge between the Ministry, state government, state level<br />

nodal agencies (SLNA), urban local bodies (ULBs), central nodal agencies (CNA),<br />

beneficiaries and other stakeholders to efficiently manage details of beneficiaries,<br />

facilitate project management and generate various monitoring reports. Progress<br />

regarding erstwhile RAY and JNNURM projects is captured under Integrated<br />

Urban Poverty Management System.<br />

Housing and Urban Development Corporation: HUDCO is a techno-financial<br />

institution engaged in financing and promotion of housing and urban<br />

infrastructure projects. It was established in 1970 as a wholly owned government
