distinguished only by the presence <strong>of</strong> –aa. Since younger speakers also omit 1 st plural –w! in the<br />

imperfective, verbs in this aspect are ambiguous for these speakers between 1 st plural inclusive<br />

<strong>and</strong> 2 nd plural subject. <strong>The</strong> ambiguity is resolved by context or the presence <strong>of</strong> an optional<br />

independent pronoun. <strong>The</strong> suffix –titi" is associated with stress on the syllable preceding itself<br />

when word-final.<br />
