170 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn
nation like you or better than you,” three times, “And
Allāh, the Exalted, shall never disgrace a nation, at
the beginning of which is me, and at the end of which
is ‘Īsā bin Mariam as .” 173
All these narrations clearly demonstrate that the Promised
Messiah and Imām Mahdī as has a great status in the eyes of the
Holy Prophet Muhammad sa . Regarding this, Hazrat Imām
Qāshānī rh beautifully states the following:
ادی aاذی aجء aاخر ٰ a aازان aاہ aون aa
الاحامaار ۃaتاب‏ٍ‏ اaحدaaااللهaہaومaوa
aالاباءa aجع aتون aواحۃ aاوم aو aاارف
والاواء aتابن aہٗ‏ aم aولا aاض aا aذراہ aلانa
باہaٗ‎ بانaحدaہaام 174
The Mahdī, who is to make his advent in the Latter
Days, would certainly be subservient to the
commandments of the sharī‘ah of the Holy Prophet sa .
However, in the matters of knowledge of the secrets
and intricacies of religious sciences and insight into
the attributes of the Divine Being, all the prophets
and Awliyā’ would indeed be under him. And this
does not contradict what we have said for the
