Continuation of Prophethood according to the Holy Qur’ān 263
Allāh has bestowed His blessings). In other words, it
has been stated that whoever obeys Allāh and the
Messenger sa from among you, Allāh, the Exalted, will
include him in those people who were blessed by
Allāh in earlier times. Imām Rāghib has written,
“There are four groups of those who are blessed in
respect of status and piety – the prophet with the
prophet, and the siddīq with the siddīq, and the shahīd
with the shahīd, and the sālih with the sālih. And
Imām Rāghib has considered it possible that the
prophets (of this ummah) are also included with the
وaنaعa‏“‏ prophets, just as Allāh, the Exalted, has said,
(And whoso obeys Allāh and the ‏”االله aو aارول
Messenger sa ) in the meaning of ‏”‏نaابن“‏ (from the
prophets) and from after them. 259
It is clear from this statement that Imām Rāghib has said
something completely in accord with the Ahmadiyya Muslim
understanding. This quotation has been presented to make it
clear that this commentary is not something ‘new’ that the
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā‘at presents. It has been done by
previous scholars of Islām as well.

1. Why does he think Allāh, the Exalted, stated, ‏”‏نaابن“‏
(from among the prophets), and not, ‏”‏عaابن“‏ (with the
prophets), in 4:70?
