190 With Love to Muhammad sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn
وَمَا مُحَمَّدٌ‏ اِلاَّ‏ رَسُ‏ وْلٌ‏ ۚ قَدْ‏ خَلَتْ‏ مِنْ‏ قَبْهلِ‏ ِ الرُّسُ‏ ‏ُل ؕ اَفَا۟ي نْ‏ مَّاتَ‏

اَوْ‏ قُتِلَ‏ انْقَلَبْتمُ‏ ْ عَلىٰٓ‏

اَعْقَابِكمُ‏ ْ
وَمَا جَعَلْنَا لِبَشرَ‏ ٍ مّ‏ ‏ِنْ‏ قَبْكلِ‏ َ الْخُدلْ‏ َ
وَمَا جَعَلْنهٰ‏ ‏ُمْ‏ جَسَ‏ دًا لاَّ‏ ايَ‏ ‏ْكلُ‏ ‏ُوْ‏ نَ‏ الطَّعَامَ‏ وَمَا كاَ‏ نُوْا

خٰدلِ‏ ‏ِيْ‏ ‏َن
To conceive of Jesus as alive in the face of these
verses, and to believe, contrary to the purport of the
verse:
وَمَا جَعَلْنهٰ‏ ‏ُمْ‏ جَسَ‏ دًا لاَّ‏ ايَ‏ ‏ْكلُ‏ ‏ُوْ‏ نَ‏ الطَّعَام‎200َ‎
that Jesus is alive in heaven like the angels, without
the need of food, would be to turn away from the
Holy Word of God. 201
I again affirm that if Jesus is alive in heaven in his
physical body, then the Divine Reasoning set out in
one of the above verses—that if the Holy Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) were to

What is more is that the Qur’ān clearly states, “ كاَ‏ انَ‏ ” (Jesus and his
mother used to eat) in Sūrah Al-Mā’idah, 5:76, and this clearly means that
Jesus as does not eat anymore and, therefore, he is dead!
