the greatest prophet – the Khātam-ul-Nabiyyīn sa .<br />

Commentary by Imām Rāghib<br />

At the end of this chapter, we would like <strong>to</strong> point out that<br />

Imām Rāghib has supported the meaning of 4:70 as unders<strong>to</strong>od<br />

by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamā‘at. It is stated in Tafsīr Bahr-ul-<br />

Muhīt:<br />

و aوہ aع aاذن aام aاالله aم aتر aوہ aراطa<br />

اذن aات aم۔۔۔ aواار aان aوہ aن aنباa<br />

ترaذن امaااللهaمaاہaلaنaعaااللهaوa<br />

ارولaمaاحہaااللهaباذنaتدمaنaامaااللهa<br />

م۔aالaارابaنaامaمaنaارقaالاربعa<br />

aازۃaوaاثوابaابaبابaaادقaبادقaوa<br />

ادaبادaوaااحaبااحaوaاجازaارابaانa<br />

تقaنaابنaبوہaوaنaعaااللهaوaارولaاےaنa<br />

ابنaوaنaبدم<br />

And the statement of Allāh, the Exalted,, “aماaنذاaع<br />

(among those on whom Allāh has ‏,”االله aم<br />

bes<strong>to</strong>wed His blessings) comes in commentary of His<br />

statement, ‏”‏راطaاذنaاتaم“‏ (The path of those<br />

upon whom Thou hast bes<strong>to</strong>wed Thy blessings)...<br />

And it is clear that His statement, ‏,”‏نaابن“‏ comes<br />

in commentary of ‏”اذنaامaااللهaم“‏ (those on whom
