234 <strong>With</strong> <strong>Love</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>Muhammad</strong> sa the Khātam-un-Nabiyyīn<br />

20. Hazrat Nawāb Siddīque Hassan Khān writes in Iqtarābus-Sā‘ah,<br />

Page 162:<br />

The hadīth “Lā Wahya Ba‘da Mautī” [There is no revelation<br />

after me] has no foundation. Instead, the words “Lā Nabī<br />

Ba‘adī” [There is no prophet after me] are correct, which,<br />

according <strong>to</strong> the scholars, mean: “There shall be no prophet<br />

after me, with a [new] law that abrogates mine.”<br />

In view of the significant number of quotations presented here,<br />

it is obvious that opposition <strong>to</strong> the Ahmadiyya position will<br />

inevitably entail disowning so many of these illustrious saints of<br />

Islām. Not <strong>to</strong> believe in a concept or opinion of a saint or a<br />

mujaddid is acceptable but <strong>to</strong> <strong>to</strong>tally deny his righteousness and<br />

his well-proven claims of having a special relationship with<br />

Allāh the Almighty is an act which draws the displeasure of<br />

God. If someone wishes <strong>to</strong> deny these statements made by the<br />

sahāba, ā’immah, and the mujaddidīn, and chooses <strong>to</strong> accept<br />

Farhan Khan’s version of Islām, then it is his or her personal<br />

choice for which they will have <strong>to</strong> answer <strong>to</strong> God.<br />

It should be remembered here that regardless of all the<br />

criticisms made by non-Ahmadīs against the Ahmadiyya<br />

Muslim Community, they themselves hold the belief that the<br />

Latter Day Messiah would be a prophet of Allāh! Shaikh Ibn<br />

Hajar rh comments on this when he says:<br />

Hazrat ‘Īsā as is an honored prophet. After he comes<br />

down he would still be a prophet and messenger. An<br />

affirmation by a person of no account that he will be<br />

only a member of the Muslim community is not<br />

correct, inasmuch as he being one of the Muslims and
