9.5 Maintenance<br />

Bellows Replacement<br />

Check the bellows periodically for cracks, wear, or damage. Replace bellows (<s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Adept</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> P/N<br />

04625-000) if necessary, using the procedure below.<br />

1. Remove the lower bellows clamp ring from the bearing ring by loosening the<br />

screw on the clamp. See Figure 9-3.<br />

2. Remove the user tool flange. Refer to Section 6.2 on page 65 for the user flange<br />

removal procedure.<br />

3. Remove the upper bellows clamp ring by loosening the screw on the clamp.<br />

4. Slide the old bellows down off of the quill.<br />

5. Install a new bellows, and reverse the steps listed above.<br />

The upper and lower quill requires lubrication in the same manner as the standard <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Cobra</s<strong>tr</strong>ong><br />

<s<strong>tr</strong>ong>s600</s<strong>tr</strong>ong>/<s<strong>tr</strong>ong>s800</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> robot. See Section 7.5 on page 93.<br />
