This means that total current on the power pairs must be limited to 2A instead of<br />

the standard 3A in a DeviceNet <strong>tr</strong>unk line. Because this is intended to be a<br />

DeviceNet “drop line” with a maximum of 6 meters (16.5 feet), the full data rate<br />

should be achievable. However, <s<strong>tr</strong>ong>Adept</s<strong>tr</strong>ong> has tested the internal cable only at 125k<br />

baud.<br />

A variety of vendors have molded cable assemblies for the “Micro-style” connector<br />

including Brad Harrison, Crouse Hinds, Lumberg, Turk, and others. In addition,<br />

Hirshmann, Phoenix Contact, and Beckhoff have mating micro connectors that have<br />

screw terminals in the plug to allow the user to make custom cables.<br />
