Objectives and Content<br />

This subject will extend some of the knowledge and skills of<br />

HRM 1 with some emphasis on training and development<br />

aspects, and major workplace issues and changes.<br />

The subject covers:<br />

strategic planning and human resources management;<br />

change;<br />

workforce planning and adjustment redundancy,<br />

redeployment and career management;<br />

basic training, coaching and helping skills;<br />

This subject may include some class work in the<br />

Experiential Learning Centre, where activities may be<br />

The subject departs from traditional formats in that it is<br />

relationships. Students will also form peer learning groups<br />

which will meet each week to assist students in developing<br />
