Provides policy training, information, guidance and one-to-one support to<br />
new and existing Home-Start Schemes throughout Ireland. Its mission is<br />
to help give children the best possible start in life by providing support to<br />
parents as they grow in confidence, strengthen their relationships with their<br />
children and widen their links with the local community. Also <strong>of</strong>fers Home-<br />
Start Schemes. Each Home-Start Scheme provides a support service to<br />
families with young children under the age <strong>of</strong> five. Home-Start recruits and<br />
trains volunteers who are parents themselves to visit families at home and<br />
<strong>of</strong>fer them informal, practical and friendly support. Families come from all<br />
backgrounds. Our support is free, confidential and non-judgmental.<br />
