A national organisation, founded in 1981, whose members are committed<br />

to promoting and supporting community work as a means <strong>of</strong> achieving<br />

social change for those experiencing poverty and inequality. CWC<br />

provides numerous resources, supports, and up-to-date information and<br />

analysis for community work practitioners and organisations. It provides a<br />

constructive space for community workers (whether voluntary or paid) and<br />

those committed to tackling poverty and inequality to network to share<br />

experiences <strong>of</strong> national and local policies and develop policy responses.<br />

Publications: Community Work News – monthly electronic newsletter<br />

on current topics relevant to the community sector; numerous resources<br />

publications, strategy guides and so on for the community sector on<br />

equality, participation, anti-poverty, social partnership and related issues.<br />
