MOVE sees domestic violence as including a range of behaviours such as physical and sexual violence, and emotional and psychological abuse, as well as the threat of violence. Men are asked to take responsibility for their violence and to commit themselves to attending weekly group work sessions for a minimum of six months. MOVE provides support and safety planning for women partners of group participants.
