<strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Board<br />
The <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Board is the national agency responsible for supporting the<br />
provision <strong>of</strong> information, advice and advocacy to members <strong>of</strong> the public on social and<br />
civil services. It does this through the nationwide network <strong>of</strong> <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Services<br />
and the <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Phone Service (1890 777 121). It also provides information on<br />
rights and entitlements on the <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> website www.citizensinformation.ie.<br />
Services to voluntary organisations include national and regional training programmes<br />
for information providers and a group insurance scheme. The Resource Database for the<br />
<strong>Voluntary</strong> and Community Sector is available on the <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Board website<br />
www.citizensinformationboard.ie.<br />
The <strong>Citizens</strong> <strong>Information</strong> Board operates a number <strong>of</strong> regional and local <strong>of</strong>fices around the<br />
