Objectives: to commemorate all Irish men and women who served in the<br />
Great War 1914–1918; to promote a better understanding <strong>of</strong> its effect on<br />
Ireland and thereby assist in the reconciliation <strong>of</strong> the different traditions<br />
on the island; to collect and publicise related information and objects.<br />
The Association organises exhibitions, lectures, commemorations, visits<br />
to locations abroad. It provides basic advice on tracing the records <strong>of</strong> First<br />
World War soldiers. It has an archive in the Dublin City Library and Archive.<br />
