to combat poverty and oppression by strengthening the organisations <strong>of</strong><br />
the poorest groups in the countries where ISI operate – West Africa, Latin<br />
America and Palestine; to increase understanding <strong>of</strong> development issues in<br />
Ireland. Recruits development workers and places them in these countries to<br />
help strengthen their organisations’ technical and organisational capacities.<br />
Facilitates exchange and promotes learning. Creates links and partnerships<br />
between Irish society and local partners to strengthen their voices at local<br />

Aims to assist people with disabilities to access art services through helping<br />
community and disability groups to develop joint programmes or art events.<br />
IntroArt also works with individuals by providing one-to-one arts workshops,<br />
hosting artists’ work at arts exhibitions and public events, and providing<br />
mentoring. Seeks to heighten the public’s awareness <strong>of</strong> disability issues and<br />
the ability <strong>of</strong> people with disabilities, particularly in the field <strong>of</strong> the arts.<br />
