The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) is the state agency which<br />
organises and administers the national blood transfusion service, including<br />
the processing and supply <strong>of</strong> blood and blood products to Irish hospitals.<br />
IBTS has a regional centre in Cork and four donor organisation centres in<br />
Ardee, Carlow, Tuam and Limerick. Additionally, IBTS operates the <strong>National</strong><br />
Haemovigilance Office, the Irish Unrelated Bone Marrow Registry and the<br />
<strong>National</strong> Tissue Bank.<br />
