Umbrella group <strong>of</strong> neurological charities, established in 1998 to promote<br />
the development <strong>of</strong> services for people with neurological conditions, their<br />
families and carers. The Alliance is committed to highlighting the needs <strong>of</strong><br />
those with neurological conditions by providing advice and information to<br />
its member organisations, health pr<strong>of</strong>essionals and health service planners.<br />
Organises seminars and events and an annual Brain Awareness Week.<br />

A national network <strong>of</strong> ethnic minority organisations that have come<br />
together to support their communities through a strategic alliance with<br />
other ethnic groups. Its aim is that ethnic minority organisations and<br />
community leaders work together to address the underlying causes<br />
<strong>of</strong> the difficulties that new communities in Ireland are facing: racism;<br />
discrimination; unemployment and obstacles to employment; poor housing<br />
and accommodation; access to public services. The Partnership also works<br />
to build the capacity <strong>of</strong> minority ethnic communities to engage with service<br />
planners and providers in meeting the needs <strong>of</strong> a multicultural Ireland.<br />

Aims to eradicate urban poverty in South Africa by building sustainable<br />
communities. By replacing shacks with low-cost, high-quality housing and<br />
providing community facilities, the Trust aims to improve the quality <strong>of</strong> life<br />
for disadvantaged people living in the townships <strong>of</strong> South Africa. Active in<br />
seven townships in the Western Cape and 12 in Gauteng.<br />
