The ISPCC exists to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to<br />
experience love and happiness, to stop discrimination and exclusion <strong>of</strong><br />
children and to end cruelty and injustice to children. Operates four key<br />
services: Childline, a freephone helpline; Leanbh, a service for children and<br />
parents who beg on the streets; Childfocus, counselling service for children<br />
aged 12 and under; and 4me, a mentoring and counselling service for<br />
children aged 13 to 18.<br />

A voluntary organisation that arranges sporting and cultural activities for<br />
pupils attending member schools. Member schools are those designated as<br />
schools for pupils with mild general learning disabilities (approximately 32<br />
schools catering for over 3,000 students). The Council operates on several<br />
levels: school, regional, national and sometimes international.<br />
