A non-governmental international humanitarian organisation dedicated to<br />

reducing suffering, and working towards the elimination <strong>of</strong> extreme poverty<br />

in the world’s poorest countries. Founded in 1968, Concern has a dedicated<br />

staff <strong>of</strong> around 4,000 people with major <strong>of</strong>fices in Dublin, the UK and the<br />

US. Provides educational materials on development themes.<br />

and creative ways. Engages with the media and development organisations,<br />

conducts research, provides a web-based information resource for<br />

journalists, administers the Simon Cumbers Media Challenge Fund, and<br />

sponsors the Connect-World category in the Digital Media Awards.<br />
