aspects <strong>of</strong> social and economic planning in relation to poverty. Supports and<br />

evaluates projects testing out new approaches to poverty. Acts as a national<br />

resource agency supporting and encouraging community development<br />

activity. Undertakes, commissions and interprets research into poverty.<br />

Promotes a greater public awareness and understanding <strong>of</strong> poverty. The<br />

Agency has a specialised library on poverty, community development, and<br />
