Official relief and development agency <strong>of</strong> eight religious groups in Ireland:<br />

the Irish Council <strong>of</strong> Churches, Church <strong>of</strong> Ireland, Presbyterian Church,<br />

Non-Subscribing Presbyterian Church in Ireland, Methodist Church,<br />

Moravian Church, Religious Society <strong>of</strong> Friends and the Salvation Army.<br />

It works to combat poverty in some <strong>of</strong> the world’s poorest communities<br />

in over 50 countries. Regardless <strong>of</strong> race or religion, it helps people to<br />

tackle the problems they face and build the life they deserve. The agency<br />

also campaigns at home and overseas to change the structures that<br />

keep people poor, challenging inequality and injustice. Resource centre<br />

(9.30am – 4.30pm) provides development education materials, reports and<br />

publications for schools, youth and church groups.<br />

family and the community whenever possible and with love and respect for<br />
