Mission is to assist older people to continue living in their own homes,<br />
with dignity and security, for as long as possible. Care Local volunteer<br />
visitors provide friendship and companionship to older people living alone<br />
throughout the Dublin City Council area.<br />

Directed at supporting family members who provide essential care<br />
and attention for frail older persons, or persons with physical, learning,<br />
emotional or other disabilities or illnesses, and any other persons receiving<br />
care or requiring care in the home. The Association provides home respite<br />
care, recognised training in homecare, information, a helpline, lobbying<br />
and promotion <strong>of</strong> carers’ interests. It represents carers’ interests in Social<br />
Partnership and in the <strong>National</strong> Economic and Social Forum.<br />
