service. The service is funded by the Department <strong>of</strong> Social and<br />

<strong>Voluntary</strong> organisation <strong>of</strong>fering group work programmes to men who are<br />
violent and abusive in their intimate relationships with women. MOVE<br />
sees domestic violence as including a range <strong>of</strong> behaviours such as physical<br />
and sexual violence, and emotional and psychological abuse, as well as the<br />
threat <strong>of</strong> violence. Men are asked to take responsibility for their violence<br />
and to commit themselves to attending weekly group work sessions for a<br />
minimum <strong>of</strong> six months. MOVE provides support and safety planning for<br />
women partners <strong>of</strong> group participants.<br />
