Year-End Summary <strong>of</strong> Meetings<br />

TIF boards can consist <strong>of</strong> up to ten members including six <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Dallas</strong> appointees,<br />

two DISD appointees, one <strong>Dallas</strong> County appointee, one DCCCD appointee, and one<br />

from DCHD.<br />

The Cedars TIF Board, which met twice during the fiscal year, consisted <strong>of</strong> the following<br />

During the fiscal year, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved ten (10) items associated with the<br />

Cedars TIF District:<br />

On November 10, 2010, <strong>City</strong> Council approved resolution 10-2817 authorizing a<br />

New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) transaction, between the <strong>Dallas</strong> Development<br />

(DDF) Fund and its subsidiaries, US Bank, N.A. (US Bank) and its subsidiaries,<br />

and Matthews Southwest and its partners (Developer) for the restoration and<br />

development <strong>of</strong> historic property located at 1325 South Lamar Street into a<br />

boutique hotel (Project). (Adjacent to the Cedars TIF District)<br />

On November 10, 2010, <strong>City</strong> Council approved resolution 10-2845 authorizing a<br />

historic preservation tax exemption for the <strong>Dallas</strong> C<strong>of</strong>fin Company Building<br />

located at 1325 South Lamar Street for a ten-year period on 100% <strong>of</strong> the land<br />

and structure value. (Adjacent to the Cedars TIF District)<br />

On February 23, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved resolution 11-0523 accepting the<br />

FY 2010 Annual Report on the status <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment<br />

Zone Number Four, (Cedars TIF District), submitted by the Cedars TIF District's<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, and authorizing the <strong>City</strong> Manager to submit the annual report<br />
