FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

• To focus on encouraging the redevelopment <strong>of</strong> properties in the TOD TIF District,<br />

increase density and provide enhanced urban design for the various station<br />

areas that is commensurate with forward<strong>Dallas</strong>!, the <strong>City</strong>’s Comprehensive Plan.<br />

Initial development projects under construction or planned show<br />

momentum for more urban, pedestrian friendly redevelopment in support<br />

<strong>of</strong> forward<strong>Dallas</strong>!.<br />

• Encourage development projects that will increase DART ridership at rail stations<br />

within the TOD TIF District.<br />

Initial development projects completed, under construction or planned will<br />

add 845 new households in close proximity to DART stations. The most<br />

recent average daily ridership figures as <strong>of</strong> September 2011 for the eight<br />

DART light rail stations in or adjacent to the District are shown in the table<br />

below:<br />
