Budget and Spending Status<br />

Each TIF district establishes a budget for the public improvement expenditures<br />

necessary to support private investment in the district in the Project Plan and<br />

Reinvestment Zone Financing Plan. The Deep Ellum TIF District was established in<br />

June 2005 and did not collect or allocate any revenue in FYs 2006, 2007 & 2008;<br />

however, the Project Plan and Budget were amended in FY 2008 and project<br />

allocations were made for the Olympia Arts project. Preliminary estimates for TIF public<br />

improvements total $44.2 million ($27.2 in 2006 dollars). The amended budget for the<br />

TIF district is below.<br />
