• On June 22, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-1759<br />

authorizing an amendment to Resolution No. 10-2771, previously approved on<br />

October 26, 2010, to increase the loan amount by $300,000 on an existing<br />

Chapter 380 economic development forgivable loan with Sapphire Road<br />

Development, LLC for the acquisition <strong>of</strong> improved and unimproved properties,<br />

located along the Lancaster Corridor Neighborhood Investment Program Area,<br />

including associated closing costs, relocation, environmental remediation,<br />

demolition, and/or predevelopment costs for the purpose <strong>of</strong> constructing<br />

residential, retail, commercial, or mixed-use redevelopment as part <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Economic Development Plan for the area - Total not to exceed $300,000, from<br />

$4,000,000 to $4,300,000 - Financing: 2006 Bond Funds. (Related to potential<br />

Veteran’s Place project).<br />

• On August 10, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council held a public hearing and passed<br />

Ordinance Number 28301 granting a Planned Development District for mixed<br />

uses on property zoned a CR Community Retail District and an R-7.5(A) Single<br />

Family District on the northwest corner <strong>of</strong> South Lancaster Road and Atlas Drive<br />

Recommendation <strong>of</strong> Staff and CPC: Approval, subject to a development plan and<br />

conditions Z101-203(MG). (Related to potential Veteran’s Place project).<br />

• On August 10, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2008<br />

authorizing acquisition from Premier Place <strong>of</strong> <strong>Dallas</strong>, L.P. <strong>of</strong> approximately 3,798<br />

square feet <strong>of</strong> land located near Twin Sixties Drive and U.S. 75 Central<br />

Expressway for Katy Trail Phase VI Project - Not to exceed $268,000 ($265,000<br />

plus closing costs and title expenses not to exceed $3,000) - Financing: 2006<br />

Bond Funds.<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2197<br />

authorizing (1) an increase in the contract with JRJ Paving, L.P., for the<br />

construction <strong>of</strong> Katy Trail, Phase III from McCommas Street to Sandhurst Street<br />

in an amount not to exceed $95,020, from $809,298 to $904,318; (2) the receipt<br />

and deposit <strong>of</strong> funds from the Texas Department <strong>of</strong> Transportation in an amount<br />

not to exceed $76,016; and (3) an increase in appropriations in the amount <strong>of</strong><br />

$76,016 in the Capital Projects Reimbursement Fund - Total not to exceed<br />

$95,020 - Financing: 2003 Bond Funds ($19,004) and Capital Projects<br />

Reimbursement Funds ($76,016).<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2203<br />

authorizing acquisition from American Fund US Investment LP <strong>of</strong> approximately<br />

280 square feet <strong>of</strong> land located near Mockingbird Lane and the DART Light Rail<br />

for the Katy Trail Phase VI Project - Not to exceed $23,280 ($21,280 plus closing<br />

costs and title expenses not to exceed $2,000) - Financing: 2006 Bond Funds.<br />
