Southwestern Medical TIF District<br />

FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

• On December 8, 2010, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 10-3048, a<br />

public hearing to receive comments regarding an application for and an<br />

ordinance granting an MU-3 Mixed Use District on property zoned an IR<br />

Industrial Research District and a resolution accepting deed restrictions<br />

volunteered by the applicant on the east side <strong>of</strong> Maple Avenue, between Inwood<br />

Road and Butler Street.<br />

• On January 12, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0180,<br />

granting a private license to the Board <strong>of</strong> Regents <strong>of</strong> The University <strong>of</strong> Texas<br />

System for the use <strong>of</strong> approximately 12,672 square feet <strong>of</strong> land to use and<br />

maintain an electrical distribution feeder under portions <strong>of</strong> Harry Hines<br />

Boulevard, Record Crossing and Inwood Roads and Medical Center Drive rights<strong>of</strong>-way<br />

near the intersection <strong>of</strong> Harry Hines Boulevard and Inwood Road.<br />

• On January 26, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0301, a<br />

public hearing to receive comments regarding an application for and an<br />

ordinance granting a Planned Development District for CR Community Retail<br />

District uses on property zoned an IR Industrial Research District located on the<br />

south corner <strong>of</strong> Medical District Drive and Maple Avenue.<br />

• On February, 23, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0520, a<br />

New Markets Tax Credit (NMTC) transaction, between the <strong>Dallas</strong> Development<br />

Fund (DDF) and its subsidiaries, JPMorgan Chase, N.A. (JPMC) and its<br />

subsidiaries, and the Kroger Co. and its affiliates (Developer) for the<br />

redevelopment <strong>of</strong> property located at 4901 Maple Street into a full service<br />

grocery store.<br />

• On February, 23, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0529,<br />

accepting the FY 2010 Annual Report on the status <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing<br />

Reinvestment Zone Number Ten, (Southwestern Medical TIF District), submitted<br />

by the Southwestern Medical TIF District's Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, and authorizing<br />

the <strong>City</strong> Manager to submit the annual report to the Chief Executive Officer <strong>of</strong><br />

each taxing jurisdiction that levies taxes on real property in the District, and to the<br />

Attorney General <strong>of</strong> Texas, and the State Comptroller, as required by state law.<br />

• On March 9, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0673, a public<br />

hearing to receive comments regarding an application for and an ordinance<br />

granting an MU-3 Mixed Use District on property zoned an IR Industrial Research<br />

District and a resolution accepting deed restrictions volunteered by the applicant<br />

on the east side <strong>of</strong> Maple Avenue, between Inwood Road and Butler Street.<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-2193,<br />

authorizing (1) a Project Supplemental Agreement to the Master Interlocal<br />

Agreement with <strong>Dallas</strong> County for the preliminary design <strong>of</strong> paving and drainage<br />

improvements on Medical District Drive from IH 35E to Southwestern Medical<br />

Avenue; and (2) payment for the <strong>City</strong>’s share <strong>of</strong> preliminary design costs - Not to<br />
