Vickery Meadow TIF District<br />

FY 2010-2011 Annual Report<br />

and (2) establishment <strong>of</strong> appropriations for the grant - Not to exceed $2,225,000 -<br />

Financing: U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Housing and Urban Development Office <strong>of</strong><br />

Sustainable Housing and Communities Grant Funds.<br />

• On February 24, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0528 approving<br />

FY 2010 Annual Report on the status <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment<br />

Zone Number Nine, (Vickery Meadow TIF District), submitted by the Vickery<br />

Meadow TIF District's Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, and authorizing the <strong>City</strong> Manager to<br />

submit the annual report to the Chief Executive Officer <strong>of</strong> each taxing jurisdiction<br />

that levies taxes on real property in the District, and to the Attorney General <strong>of</strong><br />

Texas, and the State Comptroller, as required by state law.<br />

• On February 24, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council denied authorization <strong>of</strong> a resolution in<br />

support <strong>of</strong> the Texas Department <strong>of</strong> Housing and Community Affair’s (TDHCA)<br />

9% low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) allocation for Brook Village<br />

Apartments located at 6852 Shady Brook Lane for the acquisition and<br />

rehabilitation <strong>of</strong> the proposed 213-unit multifamily residential development for low<br />

income families.<br />

• On June 23, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-1720 authorizing<br />

moving expense and rental assistance payments for five eligible residents in the<br />

Acacia Village Apartments as a result <strong>of</strong> an <strong>of</strong>ficial written <strong>of</strong>fer <strong>of</strong> just<br />

compensation to purchase real property near the intersection <strong>of</strong> Park Lane and<br />

Ridgecrest Road to be used in conjunction with the Vickery Meadow Branch<br />

Library Project.<br />

Pending TIF Items<br />

• Consideration <strong>of</strong> the FY 2011 Vickery Meadow TIF District Annual Report by the<br />

Vickery Meadow TIF District Board <strong>of</strong> Directors and a recommendation to the<br />

<strong>Dallas</strong> <strong>City</strong> Council for approval, as recommended by the TIF board.<br />
