FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2204<br />

authorizing acquisition from American Fund US Investment LP <strong>of</strong> approximately<br />

590 square feet <strong>of</strong> land located near Mockingbird Lane and the DART Light Rail<br />

for the Katy Trail Phase VI Project - Not to exceed $47,840 ($44,840 plus closing<br />

costs and title expenses not to exceed $3,000) - Financing: 2006 Bond Funds.<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2205<br />

authorizing acquisition from American Fund US Investment LP <strong>of</strong> approximately<br />

2,240 square feet <strong>of</strong> land located near Mockingbird Lane and the DART Light<br />

Rail for the Katy Trail Phase VI Project - Not to exceed $179,000 ($176,000 plus<br />

closing costs and title expenses not to exceed $3,000) - Financing: 2006 Bond<br />

Funds.<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Resolution Number 11-2206<br />

authorizing acquisition from American Fund US Investment LP <strong>of</strong> approximately<br />

282 square feet <strong>of</strong> land located near Mockingbird Lane and the DART Light Rail<br />

for the Katy Trail Phase VI Project - Not to exceed $399,000 ($395,000 plus<br />

closing costs and title expenses not to exceed $4,000) - Financing: 2006 Bond<br />

Funds.<br />

• On August 24, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council held a public hearing and passed<br />

Ordinance Number 28340 granting an amendment to Specific Use Permit No.<br />

1140 for a Municipal Service Center on property zoned an MU-3 Mixed Use<br />

District, on both sides <strong>of</strong> Worcola Street, south <strong>of</strong> SMU Boulevard<br />

Recommendation <strong>of</strong> Staff and CPC: Approval, subject to a site plan and<br />

conditions Z101-243(RB). (<strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> University Park facility)<br />

• On September 14, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Ordinance Number 28373<br />

amending Ordinance No. 28244, which abandoned a portion <strong>of</strong> an alley near the<br />

intersection <strong>of</strong> Mentor Avenue and Denley Drive to Sapphire Road Development,<br />

LLC by altering the preamble; adding a new Section for the waiver <strong>of</strong> certain<br />

provisions <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Dallas</strong> Development Code; amending Sections 1, 2, 3, 16 and<br />

17; removing Sections 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14; and renumbering all said<br />

Sections accordingly - Revenue: $5,400 plus the ordinance publication fee.<br />

(Related to potential Veteran’s Place project).<br />

• On September 14, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council held a public hearing to receive<br />

comments regarding an application for and an ordinance granting an amendment<br />

to Planned Development District No. 799 in an area bounded by Lovers Lane,<br />

Amesbury Drive, Milton Street and Matilda Street to the west Recommendation<br />

<strong>of</strong> Staff and CPC: Approval, subject to a conceptual plan and conditions Z101-<br />

201(MW). Approved as amended with ordinance to come back. (Related to<br />

potential redevelopment <strong>of</strong> former Signature Point apartments)<br />

• On September 28, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council passed Ordinance Number 28419<br />

granting an amendment to Planned Development District No. 799 in an area<br />
