Farmers Market TIF District<br />

FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

Year-End Summary <strong>of</strong> Meetings<br />

During the period <strong>of</strong> October 1, 2010, through September 30, 2011, the Farmers Market<br />

TIF Board met twice, on November 15, 2010 and June 28, 2011.<br />

The current Board members are Orlando Alameda, DISD appointee (0 <strong>of</strong> 1 meeting),<br />

Hector Flores, DISD appointee (1 <strong>of</strong> 1 meeting), Alexia Griffin – <strong>City</strong> Representative (0<br />

<strong>of</strong> 2 meetings - no longer a TIF Board Member), Lily Mak – <strong>City</strong> Representative (2 <strong>of</strong> 2<br />

meetings), Ross Sherwood Martin – <strong>City</strong> Representative (2 <strong>of</strong> 2 meetings), Neal<br />

Sleeper - <strong>City</strong> Representative (2 <strong>of</strong> 2 meetings), John Miller - <strong>City</strong> Representative (2 <strong>of</strong> 2<br />

meetings), Stewart Clancy (1 <strong>of</strong> 2 meetings), Zane Aveton (2 <strong>of</strong> 2 meetings).<br />

During the fiscal year, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved four items associated with the Farmers<br />

Market TIF District:<br />

• On February 23, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Number 11-<br />

0525 authorizing acceptance <strong>of</strong> the Fiscal Year 2010 Annual Report <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number Six (Farmers Market TIF<br />

District), and authorizing the <strong>City</strong> Manager to submit the annual report to<br />

the other taxing jurisdictions that participate in the district, as well as the<br />

Texas Attorney General.<br />

• On August 10, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Numbers: 11-<br />

2031 authorizing a development agreement with Texas IntownHomes LLC<br />

to provide funding for the design, engineering, pr<strong>of</strong>essional services and<br />

construction <strong>of</strong> public infrastructure improvements for the Farmers Market<br />

Square Project in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 from Farmers<br />

Market TIF funds.<br />

• On August 10, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Numbers: 11-<br />

2032 declaring the intent <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone<br />

Number Six (Farmers Market TIF District), to reimburse Texas<br />

IntownHomes LLC., in an amount not to exceed $3,000,000 for certain<br />

improvements related to the development <strong>of</strong> the Farmers Market Square<br />

Project in the Farmers Market TIF District.<br />

• On August 24, 2011 the <strong>City</strong> Council held a public hearing and closed the<br />

hearing and approved an application for creation <strong>of</strong> a new sub district<br />

within Planned Development District No. 357, the Farmers’ Market Special<br />

Purpose District by Resolution 11-2237.<br />
