FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

2006 Bond Funds ($250,000)and 2008-09 Community Development Block Grant<br />

- Recovery Funds ($2,512,806)<br />

• On February 23, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Number 11-0532,<br />

accepting the FY 2010 Annual Report on the status <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing<br />

Reinvestment Zone Number Thirteen, (Grand Park South TIF District), submitted<br />

by the Grand Park South District's Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, and authorizing the <strong>City</strong><br />

Manager to submit the annual report to the Chief Executive Officer <strong>of</strong> each taxing<br />

jurisdiction that levies taxes on real property in the District, and to the Attorney<br />

General <strong>of</strong> Texas, and the State Comptroller, as required by state law -<br />

Financing: No cost consideration to the <strong>City</strong><br />

• On April 27, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Number 11-1157,<br />

conducting a public hearing to receive comments regarding an application for a<br />

WMU-5 Walkable Mixed Urban Use District on property zoned as a CC<br />

Community Commercial Subdistrict within Planned Development District No. 595<br />

on two separate parcels: (1) northwest line <strong>of</strong> Park Row Avenue between J. B.<br />

Jackson Boulevard and Trunk Avenue, and (2) northwest line <strong>of</strong> Grand Avenue<br />

between Fourth Avenue and Trunk Avenue, and an application for a WR-5<br />

Walkable Urban Residential District on property zoned as an MF-1(A) Subdistrict<br />

within Planned Development District No. 595 on two separate parcels: (1)<br />

southeast line <strong>of</strong> Elihu Street south <strong>of</strong> Fourth Avenue, and (2) northwest line <strong>of</strong><br />

Elihu Street south <strong>of</strong> Fourth Avenue Recommendation <strong>of</strong> Staff and CPC:<br />

Approval, subject to a Shopfront (SH) Overlay on part <strong>of</strong> Parcel A and all <strong>of</strong><br />

Parcel B, and a Height Modification (HM) Overlay on Parcels B, C, and D Z090-<br />

218(RB)<br />

• On June 8, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Ordinance Number 28223; granting<br />

a WMU-5 Walkable Mixed Urban Use District with a Shopfront Overlay on part <strong>of</strong><br />

Tract A and all <strong>of</strong> Tract B and a Height Modification Overly on property zoned as<br />

a CC Community Commercial Subdistrict within Planned Development District<br />

No. 595, and a WR-5 Walkable Urban Residential District with a Height<br />

Modification Overlay on Tracts C and D on property zoned as an MF-1(A)<br />

Multifamily Subdistrict within Planned Development District No. 595, on four<br />

separate tracts: (1) northwest line <strong>of</strong> Park Row Avenue between J. B. Jackson<br />

Boulevard and Trunk Avenue; (2) northwest line <strong>of</strong> Grand Avenue between<br />

Fourth Avenue and Trunk Avenue; (3) southeast line <strong>of</strong> Elihu Street south <strong>of</strong><br />

Fourth Avenue; and (4) northwest line <strong>of</strong> Elihu Street south <strong>of</strong> Fourth Avenue -<br />

Financing: No cost consideration to the <strong>City</strong><br />

• On September 14, 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution Number 11-2394,<br />

authorizing a Community Based Non-Pr<strong>of</strong>it Grant Agreement to enhance the<br />

quality <strong>of</strong> life for the residents in the South <strong>Dallas</strong>/Fair Park Trust Fund target<br />

area to provide funding to Jeffries Street-Learning Center - Not to exceed<br />

$35,000 - Financing: South <strong>Dallas</strong>/Fair Park Trust Funds<br />
