Maple/Mockingbird TIF District<br />

FY 2011 Annual Report<br />

• On December 8, 2010, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 10-3048<br />

authorizing a public hearing to receive comments regarding an application for<br />

and an ordinance granting an MU-3 Mixed Use District on property zoned an IR<br />

Industrial Research District and a resolution accepting deed restrictions<br />

volunteered by the applicant on the east side <strong>of</strong> Maple Avenue, between Inwood<br />

Road and Butler Street.<br />

• On February 23, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0537 accepting<br />

the FY 2010 Annual Report on the status <strong>of</strong> Tax Increment Financing<br />

Reinvestment Zone Number Eighteen, (Maple/Mockingbird TIF District),<br />

submitted by the Maple/Mockingbird TIF District's Board <strong>of</strong> Directors, and<br />

authorizing the <strong>City</strong> Manager to submit the annual report to the Chief Executive<br />

Officer <strong>of</strong> each taxing jurisdiction that levies taxes on real property in the District,<br />

and to the Attorney General <strong>of</strong> Texas, and the State Comptroller, as required by<br />

state law.<br />

• On March 9, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0660 authorizing an<br />

amendment to the development agreement with Reserve at Stutz Road, LLC,<br />

previously approved on August 25, 2010, by Resolution Nos. 10-2165 and 10-<br />

2166, in Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone Number Eighteen<br />

(Maple/Mockingbird TIF District) to extend project deadlines for obtaining: a<br />

construction permit from December 31, 2010 to June 30, 2011; a Certificate <strong>of</strong><br />

Acceptance from December 31, 2011 to June 30, 2012; and an Operating and<br />

Maintenance Agreement from December 31, 2011 to June 30, 2012 and to allow<br />

for additional extensions <strong>of</strong> project deadlines up to 6 months for good cause and<br />

additional consideration, subject to the Maple/Mockingbird TIF District Board <strong>of</strong><br />

Director's approval and final authorization by the Director <strong>of</strong> the Office <strong>of</strong><br />

Economic Development.<br />

• On March 9, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0673 authorizing a<br />

public hearing to receive comments regarding an application for and an<br />

ordinance granting an MU-3 Mixed Use District on property zoned an IR<br />

Industrial Research District and a resolution accepting deed restrictions<br />

volunteered by the applicant on the east side <strong>of</strong> Maple Avenue, between Inwood<br />

Road and Butler Street.<br />

• On April 13, 2011, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 11-0994 authorizing a<br />

public hearing to receive comments on a proposed municipal setting designation<br />

to prohibit the use <strong>of</strong> groundwater as potable water beneath property owned by<br />

Cedar Springs Investments, LLC located near the intersection <strong>of</strong> Cedar Springs<br />

Road and Manor Way and adjacent street rights-<strong>of</strong>-way, and an ordinance<br />

authorizing support <strong>of</strong> the issuance <strong>of</strong> a municipal setting designation to Qualex,<br />

Inc. by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and prohibiting the use<br />

<strong>of</strong> groundwater beneath the designated property as potable water.<br />
