Year-End Summary <strong>of</strong> Meetings<br />

The Downtown Connection TIF District Board <strong>of</strong> Directors met five (5) times during FY<br />

2011, December 9, 2011, February 10, 2011, May 12, 2011, June 9, 2011 and August<br />

11, 2011.<br />

The Downtown Connection TIF District Board <strong>of</strong> Directors consists <strong>of</strong> nine (9) members<br />

including six (6) <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Dallas</strong> appointees, one (1) State Senator’s <strong>of</strong>fice appointee, one<br />

(1) <strong>Dallas</strong> County appointee and one (1) State Representative’s <strong>of</strong>fice appointee.<br />

During FY 2011, the Downtown Connection TIF Board consisted <strong>of</strong> the following<br />

During FY 2011, the <strong>City</strong> Council approved thirty-eight (38) items directly or indirectly<br />

associated with the <strong>City</strong> Center TIF District. The council actions are listed below.<br />

• On October 13, 2010, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 10-2621, authorizing<br />

a business personal property tax abatement agreement with MoneyGram<br />

International Inc. and/or its affiliates and subsidiaries (MPSI) located at 2828<br />

North Harwood Street in the amount <strong>of</strong> 50 percent on the value <strong>of</strong> new business<br />

personal property for 10 years in accordance with the <strong>City</strong>'s Public/Private<br />

Partnership Program - Revenue: First year revenue estimated at $13,151; tenyear<br />

revenue estimated at $131,505 (Estimated revenue foregone for a ten-year<br />

new business personal property abatement estimated at $131,505).<br />

• On October 13, 2010, <strong>City</strong> Council approved Resolution No. 10-2622, authorizing<br />

a Chapter 380 economic development grant agreement in an amount not to<br />

exceed $278,500 with MoneyGram International Inc. and/or its affiliates and<br />

subsidiaries (MPSI) related to the relocation <strong>of</strong> its headquarters to 2828 North<br />

Harwood Street, <strong>Dallas</strong>, Texas 75201, pursuant to Chapter 380 <strong>of</strong> the Texas<br />

Local Government Code in accordance with the <strong>City</strong>'s Public/Private Partnership<br />

Program - Not to exceed $278,500.<br />
