5. ALTITUDE RESTRICTIONS -<br />

departing or arriving aircraft shall operate over the city at less than<br />

5000’ ASL (8000’ between 2300-0700 local time)<br />

b. <strong>The</strong> city is defined as that area lying between the S arm of<br />

the Fraser River and the N shore of Burrard Inlet and from Point<br />

Grey to the E boundary of the Vancouver (CYVR) Control Zone.<br />

6. ENGINE RUN-UP RESTRICTIONS - Maintenance engine runups<br />

for ALL AIRCRAFT require prior approval from the<br />

Superintendent of Airport Operations. Guidelines are contained<br />

in the Airport Operations Directive, Aircraft Engine Run-ups.<br />

7. CONTACT - <strong>The</strong> Superintendent of Airport Operations may<br />

permit exemptions for emergencies and airfield maintenance as<br />

well as for delays experienced at Vancouver Intl (CYVR), such as<br />

for weather, mechanical or ATC. <strong>The</strong> Superintendent of Airport<br />

Operations (C604-207-7022) will provide log numbers with<br />

exemptions or approvals.<br />
