2704 Controller Totaliser, Timer. Clock, Counter Operation
12.2.4. Minimum On Timer Mode
This timer has been targeted at guaranteeing that the output remains On for a duration after
the input signal has been removed. It may be used, for example, to ensure that a compressor
is not cycled excessively.
• The output will be set to On when the Input changes from Off to On.
• When the Input changes from On to Off, the elapsed time will start incrementing towards
the set Time.
• The Output will remain On until the elapsed time has reached the set Time. The Output
will then switch Off.
• If the Input signal returns to On while the Output is On, the elapsed time will reset to 0,
ready to begin incrementing when the Input switches Off.
• The Triggered variable will be set while the elapsed time is >0. It will indicate that the
timer is counting.
Figure 12.4 illustrates the behaviour of the timer under different input conditions.
