18.4.7. To Calibrate the Potentiometer input
The value of the potentiometer input is read by the parameter ‘Module xA Val’, where x is the
number of the slot in which the Pot input module is fitted. This parameter can be scaled to
read the value of the potentiometer input or as a percentage as required.
To calibrate the potentiometer input:-
Do This
1. Access the Pot Input
parameter list from the
MODULE IO (Module xA)
page header
2. Press or to scroll
to ‘Eng Val Lo
This Is The Display You
Should See
Additional Notes
This will set the minimum
reading when the pot
position is at minimum
3. ’ Press to select ‘Eng
Val Lo
4. Press or to change
its value
5. Press to select ‘Eng
Val Hi’
This will set the maximum
reading when the pot
position is at maximum
6. Press or to
change its value
To Calibrate the Potentiometer Minimum Position
7. Press to scroll to Cal
State
8. Press or to
select ‘Pot Low Pos’
9. Adjust the potentiometer
to minimum position
10. To confirm, press or
to select ‘Go’.
(You can also select
‘Abort’ at this point)
To calibrate follow the
instructions on the
display.
When the controller is
calibrating the message
‘Doing Fine Cal’
appears.
When the controller has
finished the message
‘Passed’ appears.
Press or to
‘Accept’. After 0.5 sec
the display will revert to
‘Idle’ completing the
procedure.
