Mixed use infill developmentThere are large portions of strategically vacant located land within the town. This land is mostly in governmentownership and is ideally located to integrate the different parts of the town and to densify and diversify the centralparts of the town.The following areas have been identified for mixed use infill developments:NAMEAlong the R50 –The station area.DESCRIPTION• The area of Stanfield Hill where someindustries are already located.• The area surrounding Junxion ShoppingCentre.Vacant Transnet land to the east of Walter Sisuluup to the Fire Department and Licensing Offices.South of Oriental Plaza. The area between the industrial area ofStanderton Extension 1 and Oriental Plaza.The following guidelines are applicable to mixed use infill development areas:• Land uses as listed under Mixed Use.• Special attention should be given to a wide variety of residential types and delivery options.
