Mixed use infill developmentThere are large portions of strategically vacant located l<strong>and</strong> within the town. This l<strong>and</strong> is mostly in governmentownership <strong>and</strong> is ideally located to integrate the different parts of the town <strong>and</strong> to densify <strong>and</strong> diversify the centralparts of the town.The following areas have been identified for mixed use infill developments:NAMEAlong the R50 –The station area.DESCRIPTION• The area of Stanfield Hill where someindustries are already located.• The area surrounding Junxion ShoppingCentre.Vacant Transnet l<strong>and</strong> to the east of Walter Sisuluup to the Fire Department <strong>and</strong> Licensing Offices.South of Oriental Plaza. The area between the industrial area ofSt<strong>and</strong>erton Extension 1 <strong>and</strong> Oriental Plaza.The following guidelines are applicable to mixed use infill development areas:• L<strong>and</strong> uses as listed under Mixed Use.• Special attention should be given to a wide variety of residential types <strong>and</strong> delivery options.
