The procedures outlinedin this chapter represent those that have been tested byDaimlerChrysler Engineering (working both at the racetrack and on the dynamometer) as part of its continuingperformance development program. This developmentprogram serves as the foundation for the MoparPerformance Parts programIntroductionThe chapter gives specific detail regarding each majorcomponent of the 4.0L engine, as well as detailingrecommended engine assembly and performancemodification procedures. It is recommended that you readthis chapter in its entirety before you begin your sixcylinder engine project. Also, much of the informationincluded in this chapter is generic to all racing engines, sothe owners of other DaimlerChrysler engines areencouraged to read this entire chapter.
