With the key in position, align the keyway on thevibration damper hub with the crankshaft key and tapthe damper onto the crankshaft.2.3.Install the vibration damper retaining bolt and washer.Torque the damper retaining bolt to 108 Nom(80 ft-lbs).4. If equipped with a crankshaft pulley for the accessorydrive belts, install the crankshaft pulley and retainingbolts.5. Tighten the bolts to 27 Nem (20 ft-lbs) torque.6. Install the drive belt(s) and tighten to the specifiedtension.7. Remove accessory drive belts.3.4.Disconnect the battery negative cable.Remove the accessory drive brackets that are attachedto the timing case cover.Remove the fan and hub assembly and remove thefan shroud.5. Remove the A/C compressor (if equipped) andalternator bracket assembly from the cylinder head andmove to one side.6.7.8.9.Use a vibration damper removal tool to remove thedamper from the crankshaft (Figure 2-2).Remove the oil pan-to-timing case cover bolts andcover-to-cylinder block bolts.Remove the timing case cover front seal and gasketfrom the engine.Cut off the oil pan side gasket end tabs and oil panfront seal tabs flush with the front face of the cylinderblock and remove the gasket tabs (Figure 2-21).10. Clean the timing case cover, oil pan and cylinder blockgasket surfaces.11. Remove the crankshaft oil seal from the timing casecover (Figure 2-20).
