l- --r ‘7300 MOPAR PERFORMANCE PARTS10. Install the alternator bracket bolt on the head. Installthe alternator belt and adjust the tension.RETAINERS11. Install the power steering bracket and pump. Adjust thebelt tension. Refer to the service manual for drive belt(including serpentine) adjustment procedures.12. Install the pushrods in the same order they wereremoved.13. Install the rocker arms and the bridge and pivotassemblies in the order removed. Loosely install thecapscrews for each bridge and tighten alternately, oneturn at a time, to avoid damaging the bridge. Tightenthe capscrews to 26 Nam (1 9 ft-lbs) torque.14. Install the cylinder head cover.15. Connect the hoses to the thermostat housing and fill thecooling system to the specified level. Refer to theservice manual for the proper procedure.16. The automatic transmission throttle linkage and cablemust be adjusted after completing the cylinder headinstallation. Refer to the service manual for the properprocedures.17. Install the temperature sending unit and connect thewire connector.18. Connect the fuel pipe and vacuum advance hose.Warning! Use extreme caution when the engine isoperating. DO NOT stand in direct line with the fan.DO NOT put hands near the pulleys, belts or fan. DONOT wear loose clothing.19. Operate the engine with the radiator cap off. Inspect forleaks and continue operating the engine until thethermostat opens. Add coolant, if required.20. Rotate thepipe as necessary to provide clearance for the cylinderhead cover removalhstallation.Remove the PCV valve from the cylinder head covergrommet and disconnect the PCV shutoff valvevacuum hose (Figure 5-6).Remove the vacuum switch and bracket assembly fromthe cylinder head cover.
