4.2L IN-LINE 6 (INDUCTION SYSTEM) 3174. Install the combination fuel pump block-offplatehgnition coil bracket where you removed theoriginal fuel pump. Make sure that the block-off platehas a gasket. Install the coil with the plug wire terminaltoward the distributor (Figure 5- 13).5.Install the new crankshaft dampener. Torque the bolt to120 ft-lb.6. Install the pickup sensor bracket. The bracket bolts tothe oil pan where you removed the three (3) bolts instep #13 of the disassembly instructions. Install thepickup sensor on the bracket with the bolt provided(Figure 5-26).Note: There should be between .020" and .060"clearance between the sensor and the crankshaftdampener. This clearance is the thickness of the paperbutton on the end of the sensor.
