284 MOPAR PERFORMANCE PARTSINTRODUCTIONThe 4.2L is an In-line 6 cylinder, carbureted engineequipped with a micro-computer controlled Fuel Feedbacksystem. It was produced in 232 and 258 CID versions.(Refer to the specifications that follow.)The 4.2L engine has a bore and stroke of 95.25 x 98.93 mm(3.88 x 3.44") and incorporates an overhead valve system inBlockThe cylinders are numbered from front to rear with a firingorder of 1-5-3-6-2-4. The crankshaft rotates in acounterclockwise direction, viewed from the rear of theengine.Seven two-piece main bearings are used to support thecrankshaft.
