If any pushrod is excessively wornbecause of lack of oil, replace it and inspect thecorresponding hydraulic tappet for excessive wear.Inspect the pushrods for straightness by rolling themon a flat surface or by shining a light between thepushrod and the flat surface.A wear pattern along the length of the pushrod is notnormal. Inspect the cylinder head for obstruction if thiscondition exists.Installation1.2.3.4.5.Lubricate the ball ends of each pushrod with MoparSuper Oil Conditioner (or equivalent) and installpushrods in their original locations. Ensure that thebottom end of each pushrod is centered in the tappetplunger cap seat.Lubricate the area of the rocker arm that the pivot contactswith Mopar Super Oil Conditioner (or equivalent) andinstall rocker arms, pivots and bridge above each cylinderfrom where they were originally removed.Loosely install capscrews through each bridge. At each bridge, tighten the capscrews alternately, oneturn at a time, to avoid damaging the bridge.
