Strike thecover with a rubber mallet to break it loose from thecylinder head. Remove the cover and gasket.Cleaning and InspectionInspect the cover for bends or cracks and repair or replaceas required.Thoroughly clean the cylinder head cover and cylinderhead gasket surface area.Installation1. Apply a bead of Mopar Gasket-In-A-Tube, orequivalent, to the cylinder head cover gasket surfacearea. Ensure the sealant is fresh (i.e., not stored forlonger than one year and storage area temperature isless than 27°C (80°F).2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.Position the cylinder head cover on the engine.Install the retaining bolts and tighten to 6 Nom(50 in-lbs) torque.Connect the ignition wires and install the plastic wireseparator on the cylinder head cover bracket.Install the TAC hot air hose.On the left side, connect the power brake vacuum hoseat the intake manifold.Connect the throttle stop solenoid wire on the left side.Connect the air hose to the air injection manifold.Install the air cleaner assembly.
