First, control group, <strong>of</strong> chickens was fed mixture withoutadditive, <strong>and</strong> the second, trial group, received in the same mixture addition <strong>of</strong> 300 g/tons<strong>of</strong> food <strong>of</strong> Citrus Fennel aroma, produced in the production facility <strong>of</strong> the company IreksAroma, Zagreb, Croatia.So called “three phase” nutrition system was used with starter, grower <strong>and</strong> finishermixtures. From the day 1 to 17., chickens received starter mixture which contained21.98% <strong>of</strong> crude proteins <strong>and</strong> 2.907 kcal/kg <strong>of</strong> metabolizable energy. From day 18 to39, chickens were fed grower mixture with 20.02% <strong>of</strong> crude proteins <strong>and</strong> 3.069 kcal/kgME. During final period, mixtures contained 18.30% <strong>of</strong> crude proteins <strong>and</strong> 3.163 kcal/kgME (Tabela 1).137
