1 st WorkshopXIII International Feed Technology SymposiumIn this experiment chickens were divided according to the group-control system, inaccordance with the scheme with a completely r<strong>and</strong>om distribution (100 chickens in thegroup): control (K), experimental I (O-I), experimental II (O-II) <strong>and</strong> experimental III (O-III). Different levels <strong>and</strong> types <strong>of</strong> zeolites that had the same raw material compositionwere added: K-0,0%; O-I=0.5% Min-a-zel; O-II=0.2% Min-a-zel Plus; O-III=0.3% Mina-zelPlus. During the experiment, chickens were not seperated into halves until themoment <strong>of</strong> slaughter.Zeoilte products (clinoptilites) under trade names "Min-a-zel" <strong>and</strong> "Min-a-zel Plus" wereused in the experiment which are produced at the Institute for technology <strong>of</strong> nuclear <strong>and</strong>other mineral raw materials in Belgrade.During feeding the following parameters were followed: health state <strong>and</strong> mortality.Broiler feeding lasted for 42 days.When the feeding <strong>of</strong> broilers was completed, the mass <strong>of</strong> 8 live chickens from eachgroup as well as the mass <strong>of</strong> chilled carcasses after slaughtering were measured.Measurements were carried out using electrical scale with the accuracy <strong>of</strong> ± 0.1 g. Theyield was calculated based on the results that were produced.Analyses were performed at the Institute for food technologies in Novi Sad.In order to ensure the results are interpreted correctly, the given data were statisticallyanalyzed by calculating: arithmetic mean ( X ) <strong>and</strong> st<strong>and</strong>ard deviation (Sd)(Hadživuković, 1991).RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONAverage body mass <strong>of</strong> broilers breed Cobb 500 in groups, mortality <strong>of</strong> chickens duringfeeding, average mass <strong>of</strong> chilled carcasses (yield) are shown in Table 2.Table 2.
