1 st WorkshopXIII International Feed Technology SymposiumMaterial <strong>and</strong> MethodsThe study was carried out in two different Stations for Artificial Insemination (SAI 1 <strong>and</strong>SAI 2) during the 3 year period. 108 samples <strong>of</strong> blood from V. jugularis were analyzedfor content <strong>of</strong> total protein, blood glucose, Ca, P <strong>and</strong> Mg. Levels <strong>of</strong> Zn both in the blood<strong>and</strong> the sperm were estimated at 32 <strong>and</strong> 24 samples respectively.Feeding: The experimental protocol shows that during the years there were periods withor without additive (table 1); to daily rations, composed by meadow hay (65%) <strong>and</strong>compound feed (35 %). During the experimental periods sires received in addition toconcentrate part <strong>of</strong> daily ration per 0,5 % BIOPRO.Main resultsTable 4.
